Like all Lazika tea varieties, this tea is a May flush, harvested from high-altitude villages. The May flush is the first harvest of the year after the winter season. Tea collected during this period has a more intense aroma, is more flavorful, and possesses its own distinctive, slightly astringent quality. This astringent character, seen in teas from high-altitude villages, is an indicator of the tea's naturalness.

The tea is filtered twice to remove dust. This results in a clearer, lighter, and more enjoyable tea.
